The modern world is faced with the problem of contamination from chemicals in drinking water. Contamination of lakes, rivers, streams, ground water by industrial waste water and agricultural run-off is a major issue threatening public health. Naturally occurring chemicals such as arsenic and fluoride in ground water have been identified as a problem in drinking water. This means that tap water is not tested nor treated for the remaining tens of thousands of different chemicals. The most effective way to remove these chemicals is through reverse osmosis or distiller.
